Hotels in Sweden

Most low fare airlines also offer cheap hotel rooms. But this is often a profit center for the airlines, which means it is not necessarily the best deal for you, the consumer. Often they have volume discounts, so the price to you is almost always better that what you get calling the hotel directly or simply walking into the lobby.

However, there are also web sites specializing in hotel booking. Some also offer hostels, not always as basic as you may assume. In Sweden, hostels often offer rooms very similar to inexpensive hostels, and often in very good locations.

Hotels.com  - Well laid out, focussing on centrally located larger hotels.

Hostels.com - Well, hostels.

Holiday Hotels - focus on low prices, same company as Holiday Autos. Strongest at vacation destinations.

If the price is tempting, check the location before you book. You need to live in a central location unless you plan to rent a car or spend you vaction on a commuter train.
